In Memory of is a memory book created for children and young people who want to preserve important and joyful stories about a loved one they have lost. “The good thing about the memory book is that now the memory of my mom is in this book, so I don’t have to keep it all in my head.” (16-year-old girl who lost her mother). Children sometimes fear that the deceased will be forgotten, and that one day they themselves won’t be able to remember them. As an adult, you can help by talking with the child about the deceased and, for example, filling out a memory book together. Children should not forget – they should remember. This gives them the peace and confidence to be open to the future and move forward in life. Learn more.
